Comical

とても面白くて分かりやすい話です。そうだけど、この本は大人らしいと思うから、子供と読めばたぶん子供たちが意味わからない。でも、日本人の友達と読んで大笑いしましたｗ
I got this book thinking it was for children so that I could practice my reading skill. It was good for reading practice, however, it was for children in my opinion. It was really funny though. Read through it with my Japanese friend to ask him some questions about difficult parts (very difficult, not for beginning readers), and he had a good laugh at how ridiculous and dark the story was. Overall nice purchase.

Not bad, not bad at all.

Due to its edgy subject material, I'm not sure whether this book is actually appropriate for children, but definitely good for beginner-plus to intermediate learners of Japanese like me. Almost all kanji have furigana. The resolution of the "whodunit" subplot (i.e., the one responsible for Pie-kun's missing slice) gave me a good laugh. I hope the author writes more books.
